Morning all,
Hope you are keeping well. Here are this week’s songs for your delectation.  Ooooooh Mrs.  I’ve come over all ‘Good Old Days’. But none of you will remember that,  eh? You’re all far too young.. What was the guys name with the gavel?  No prizes for the answer but I’d like to know.

Anyway, here’s the songs to strum to and all of them are available on the forum as mp3s to play along to as well.
Hope you enjoy them.

Country Roads.  An easy one to start you off.
The Deadwood Stage.   Must practise the intro, when to start singing.
Fly Me to the Moon.   Would it be safer up there at the moment?
Hello Mary Lou. Another classic that is a pleasure to play.
I’ll See You In My Dreams.  Not everyone’s favourite Oops sorry, Keith. But we should practise it.
It Must Be Love.  Tricky little number, the timing is crucial in between chorus and verses.
Little Things Mean a Lot.  The singing is tricky too. But a lovely song, I think.
Now here’s where you will have to concentrate

MR. BLUE SKY!  We haven’t done this for a very long time. But it can be done well.  Listen to the mp3 to help.

Then from the sublime to the ridiculous

Pearly Shells.   Practise your dance moves too! I’ll be looking for volunteers.

And then finally, to end on a little bit of competition within your household.

Roaring Twenties Medley.  I wouldn’t like to create any arguments but you know the ladies always win!

That’s it for now. But.  Here’s a little extra information.

We have been asked about using a website called Zoom in order to have a strumalong together. We have looked into it and it may be possible if we have enough people interested.  There is a fee involved for the club, which is approximately £12 per month, although I understand it is free for the first forty minutes.  If enough strummers are interested and can work the technology, we may be able to begin our own sessions.  At the moment I know other groups are producing the same thing, via Facebook. If you are interested in our own strumalong, then let us know.  Thanks.

Take care, keep safe and keep strumming.

Cheers everyone,

Di x
